Nawakwa Lodge #3 Centennial Service Award

To earn the Nawakwa Lodge Centennial Service Award, you must be registered and in good standing in the BSA and in Nawakwa Lodge #3, and you must complete requirements from each of three categories given on the awards requirements sheets.  All requirements must be completed during the 2019 calendar year.  The award will be a Centennial pin in the shape of the three above to wear on your centennial flap patch.  Please keep track of your accomplishments and then obtain a “Progress Tracker” card at a lodge function in 2019.  Record your progress on that card and submit it with your completed and signed card to the Registration Team at the Administration Building during a lodge function to obtain your recognition pin (you may purchase additional pins at that time and only at that time).

Chapel News: May 2019

The Chapel Committee is hard at work with some new additions to the Ordeal Weekend. I and my team have been working to emphasize servant leadership in the different service weekends and explain to the ordeal candidates what their Ordeal truly means. As I've interviewed several new Ordeal members, they've explained to me that they didn't understand the elements of the weekend 100%.  I can definitely empathize with that, looking back at my first weekend.  I myself was not sure what each of the service projects meant, or what the ceremonies represented. We are hoping to do at least three talks during the weekend, no more than a paragraph long, just emphasizing, listening to the talks and understanding how this is in line with Boy Scouts and the leadership roles that they have already taken.
