Lodge Goals 2018-2019

1.  Strive to achieve Silver JTE by the end of 2018, and achieve Gold in 2019.

2.  During Conclave in 2019, which is at our own camp T. Brady Saunders, have the biggest Conclave in Section SR-7A history.

3.  As a lodge go out and visit 85 percent of the units in our council in the upcoming year of 2019.  We can focus on filling all the committees on the Lodge Executive Committee.

4.  Boost the Brotherhood conversion rate by 70 percent by 2019. We will boost our Brotherhood conversion rates by going out and doing phone call trees by chapters.

Lodge Arrowmen to Brotherhood Conversion and Request for Support

The Lodge had 11 members sealing their full membership in the Order of the Arrow by achieving Brotherhood at our last Summer Service Weekend.  However, Brotherhood conversions are down for the year and we are looking for creative ideas from our members on how we can increase our conversion numbers.  Also, at last Fall Fellowship, we conducted a training program for Nimats that better prepare them to help Elangomats and new Ordeal members make the transition to the OA and eventually to Brotherhood.  We plan to repeat that training again in the Fall.    Please do not forget that the Lodge has a First Year Arrowmen Award.  Please contact us at This email address is being protected from spambots. Unit Elections, Unit Award of Excellence, Venture and Sea Scout Eligibility

Unit Elections

The unit elections committee is growing – we have three new youth members

Andrew S. – chapter 23

Ben S. – chapter 19

Sam D. – chapter 4

The committee needs youth representatives from the remaining chapters.

The unit election period will be here before you know it. The recommended unit election period is October through February 15th. The goal is to have at least 85% of the Scouts BSA units to hold elections if they have eligible youth.

Unit Award of Excellence

Every unit should strive to earn the OA Unit Award of Excellence.

The Order of the Arrow Unit of Excellence Award seeks to identify those units, and the leaders within them, who excel at incorporating the OA into their annual planning.

The OA Unit of Excellence Award criteria recognize units that invite the lodge to  conduct quality unit elections, participate in lodge events and meetings, and operate a complete OA Troop/Team Representative program.

Chapel Recruitment and Future Training

The chapel committee has built bridges and connected individuals of different faiths for years, but the ways that we perform these acts of reverence have changed slightly over the years. We love to use different lodge resources like the flute players or the chaplains of each chapter to assist in our interfaith service and we are striving to gain more long-term individuals interested in joining the Chapel committee long-term. This is why we have begun to work on a PowerPoint presentation, along with interactive elements, to describe how we perform our readings, prayers, and everything else required in of a multi-denominational service. We hope to use this training during the next Fall Fellowship and gain some people who want to become long term members of our community or just become more informed.
